Becoming a Probation Officer

Becoming a Probation Service Officer (PSO) or a Probation Officer (PO)

The new national Probation Qualifications Framework provides work-based pathways to qualify as either a Probation Service Officer (PSO) or as a Probation Officer (PO).

To qualify as PSO, the Vocational Qualification Level 3 Diploma in Probation Practice needs to be gained.

  • All qualifications are undertaken whilst candidates are in the workplace.
  • All PSO and PO vacancies are posted on this website when they arise.
