MAPPA Annual Report 2010-11

The Cheshire, Halton and Warrington Multi-Agency Public Protection Arrangements (MAPPA) Annual Report 2010-11 is now available. Click here to view or download. John Davidson, Cheshire Probation's Assistant Chief Executive and Chair of the Cheshire, Halton and Warrington Strategic Management Board says, "By working with other key agencies under MAPPA, we are continuing to do all we can to protect the public and reduce re-offending by reducing the risks posed by those offenders who come within the MAPPA process. Although it is never possible to eliminate risk, I believe that multi-agency arrangements remain the most effective way to manage the most dangerous offenders. This is vital in providing effective public protection to all our communities".

Local Crime: Community Sentence (LCCS)

The Local Crime: Community Sentence (LCCS) Project was created through a partnership between the Probation Boards' and the Magistrates' Associations. It involves pairs of Cheshire Magistrates and Probation staff going out into the community to give interactive presentations (approx 1 hour) to community groups.
