Approved Premises (Hostels)

Approved Premises (Hostels)

Cheshire Probation funds and manages two Approved Premises (Hostels),  Bunbury House, Ellesmere Port and Linden Bank, Sandbach. These premises provide a valuable resource, which is available to all Cheshire Courts and outside areas for referrals. The aims of the two Approved Premises within Cheshire are as follows:

  • to protect the public
  • to prevent re-offending
  • to provide residents with an opportunity to address their problems in a safe, stable environment
  • to enable residents to face up to their offending behaviour
  • to complete the conditions of their order or licence
  • to facilitate their re-settlement into the community.

Outside agencies are available to provide support and advice regarding drug misuse, and alcohol problems. A Doctor and a Community Psychiatric Nurse regularly visit both Approved Premises.

All residents are expected to abide by the relevant rules and regulations of the relevant Approved Premises, including a strict overnight curfew.
